It's been a strange thing, being back at school. It's been wonderful to see and spend time with my roomates again, that's for sure.
So far, among other things, there's been a trip to the Philadelphia zoo, lunch off of Honest Tom's Taco Truck, street performers, bumping into a Steampunk convention by accident, drinking at a roomate's 21st birthday, and unexpected contact with a half-uncle from Moscow I barely knew I had. As a result, I have a stuffed Okapi and stuffed spotted wild African dog, the desire for more tacos and to visit the cupcake lady's truck, the need for adventure, the lurking desire to attend said Steampunk convention, a renewed love of Fragelico, and a whole bunch of "learning Russian" MP3s.
'Case no-one noticed, I'm trying to keep positive. I'll be trying to avoid blogging about the negative.
I'll only say that school has been interesting so far, but very very trying for the soul. Most of my classes are fine, if a little vexing. More when it comes up, I suppose.
As I don't have any copies of the two lukewarm pieces I just finished, I will only share some of the halfway decent pages from The Sketchbook Project book I have been working on, under the theme of "sleepless". I THINK the entirety of my book, so far, can be viewed here, by the public, even if you don't have an account with the Art House Co Op. Enjoy these, for now.
That should about do it. Until next time, see you later, space cowboy.

Busy busy
Please click the thumbnails to see better copies!
Trying to beef up this new blog with a little art. Featured, in order, are two Illustration Friday pieces, Slither and Ripple respectively,- "Peacock" (nicknamed "he's the ghost of the man that the peacock represents" by my roomate)- a favorite Illustration piece from Junior year, and"A Guiding Light", another favorite from junior year, and I wanted to get a little bit up here so I can share the link without shame.
Anyhow-
Hectic and busy time for me right now.
Moving back to Philly in a couple of days for senior year. Terrifying. Not sure how I'm going to manage that feat- it seems like only yesterday that I was moving into the freshman dorms.
I have a lot to do online- the art trades from DA making me feel awfully guilty. I got too busy to do them- but I won't go back to DA without making time to finish them. Egads, I feel terrible about that.
This blog is still being fixed up. I'll be adding a banner when I have a little time for photoshop, and I'd like to get it basically up and running soon. I'm thinking at least weekly entries should be healthy for me. I hope I can get a little more active in the blogging community and start to read and comment more. I'm also working on my website. Hopefully I'll be able to have a simple little design up soon, and I'll ask a friend of mine who is handy with websites to help me out and check over my work to see if it will run. Buying a domain will be both annoying and fun.
In other news, hard at work on my sketchbook for The Sketchbook Project 2011 that I am participating in. Getting close to being halfway done and determined to finish. I'd like to get some scans up, then start commenting on the other work I've been seeing on the website.
By the next time I write, senior year might be starting. Spooky thought.

New Blog
I've shifted over from Caput Mortum. I'd originally planned on two blogs, but it looks like I'm retiring the unsuccessful one and starting up again here. I want to be more active with my blogging, and get back into the online art community on the whole. I'd like to get more followers as well, and get more interactive.
Once again, I say hello.
Pardon the dust while things get settled.
